Fraud Week 2025: Protecting people from insurance scams

We’re pleased to be taking part in International Fraud Awareness Week (16-22 Nov 2025), to help protect people from the impact of insurance fraud.

Also known as Fraud Week, the global campaign led by the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), encourages organisations worldwide to raise awareness of fraud threats and help prevention efforts through events, resources and open conversations.

Fraud is the most experienced crime in the UK, devastating victims and costing the economy billions each year. Insurance fraud plays a major role, with common scams including fake car insurance deals on social media, dangerous crash for cash schemes, and people risking everything through opportunistic fraud.

As part of our role in leading the UK’s collective fight against insurance fraud, we’re marking Fraud Week with industry workshops, sharing educational content and public campaign resources - to help everyone feel empowered to spot the signs of insurance scams and spread the word.

Help raise awareness

Our Resource Hub is packed with downloadable social media content for businesses and individuals alike, making it easy to raise awareness of insurance fraud.

On our dedicated Fraud Week page, you’ll find handy awareness graphics and links to common scams, alongside videos from our Prevention campaigns that explain how these scams work.

You can also explore our latest Prevention campaigns and success stories in the Media Centre, showcasing how our collaboration with the industry is making a real impact.

Thanks to everyone who is helping to raise awareness and protect people from insurance fraud - together, we can make a difference.
