Zebra Law joins the IFB membership

Zebra Law, the legal experts operating within the defendant personal injury market, has joined the Insurance Fraud Bureau (IFB) as affiliate members to support the industry’s fight against organised insurance fraud.

To help tackle insurance fraud, Zebra Law will now have access to some of the IFB’s counter-fraud solutions and be able to participate in cross-industry initiatives, to enhance their solutions and build on the industry’s collective fight against fraud.

Ursula Jallow, Director at the IFB, said:

“We’re very pleased to have Zebra Law join our membership. We’re building a more inclusive membership that tailors to the needs of the wider insurance market. Specialists like Zebra Law, who play a key role in the provision of insurance services, will see their fraud defences strengthened and be more able to contribute their unique insights to support the wider market."

Colin Bushell, Director at Zebra Law, said:

“Zebra Law is proud to announce its membership with the Insurance Fraud Bureau (IFB), marking a significant milestone in our journey as an innovative leader in the disruptive MGA market. Since our inception in 2023, securing this membership has been a core strategic objective, reflecting our commitment to addressing the critical challenges our clients face, particularly in combating the pervasive fraud risks within the motor insurance sector.

“At Zebra Law, we believe that IFB membership aligns seamlessly with our ethos of collaboration and underscores the vital role that industry partnerships play in tackling fraud effectively.”

Zebra Law, which is a tech-oriented, boutique legal business offering a range of services for the insurance sector and disruptive MGA market, believes early intervention is key in helping to fend off fraud threats.

By combining IFB’s insights with Zebra Law’s real-time solutions, they will now be in an even stronger position to protect their customers and communities by utilising telematics and live data feeds to warn customers of emerging threats, such as Crash for Cash moped scams.

The IFB, which is a not-for-profit organisation, coordinates intelligence sharing and cross-industry investigations to help bring insurance fraudsters to justice. Since its inception in 2006, IFB’s investigations have helped to secure over 1,300 arrests and over 670 convictions (totalling more than 600 custodial years in prison).

Fraud is estimated to cost the insurance industry over £2 billion a year, with tens of thousands of fraudulent applications and claims detected annually.
