Join our events and safeguard your organisation against the latest threats

As the nature of fraud becomes increasingly complex and sophisticated, it’s vital that the industry continues to share its insights to strengthen its fraud defences. Our intelligence forums are one of the best ways you can stay up to date with the latest fraud threats and solutions.

Each forum is themed to cover a specific issue and provides in-depth, exclusive insights from industry-leading experts to help disrupt fraudulent activity.

Identity fraud

Our intelligence forum last month set out to help members safeguard their organisations against identity theft, account takeover and forged documentation; with insights shared from experts at the IFB, DAC Beachcroft and City of London Police.

Over the past year we’ve seen our intelligence submissions linked to identity theft nearly double, and a high number of people took part in this session. Due to popular demand, we’re pleased to share we’ll be hosting a workshop on identity theft on 20 November 2024.

Mixed injury fraud

Last year, we hosted an intelligence forum to explore motor injury claims fraud post whiplash reforms, which was well received. With support from our members and the General Insurance Fraud Committee Civil Liability Act (GIFC CLA) Working Group, we are pleased to share we will be following up on this with a workshop to explore mixed injury fraud post whiplash reforms, on 23 October 2024.

This will provide an in-depth look at how this is defined, the role of enablers, key evidence opportunities and effective strategies to disrupt the fraud. More details will be announced soon.

Strategic Threat Assessment (STA)

Our next intelligence forum on 25 September 2024 will highlight new industry fraud findings from our upcoming STA report and we encourage you to come along. We’d also love to have your support in helping to shape the upcoming STA and as a result, we’re hosting workshops on 24 July (Property and Liability) and 1 August (Motor) to explore insights.
